Having a beautiful garden does not mean having only beautiful flowers and suggestive trees, there is a fundamental element that gives the garden elegance and refinement, the meadow. If well cared for, the meadow it harmonizes and integrates with the entire garden but if it is neglected it causes a sense of disorder and neglect. Who wouldn't want to have a perfect lawn? It's not easy, lawn care requires a lot of maintenance and patience. But let's see in detail like having a perfect lawn.

The perfect lawn, the foreplay

  1. Prepare the soil before sowing, eliminating any foreign bodies.
  2. Proceed with tilling, working the soil to a depth of 15-20 cm
  3. Level and smooth the ground surface
  4. Distribute the fertilizer carefully and evenly

The perfect lawn, sowing
After having prepared the soil well, we proceed with sowing. But before starting it is a good idea to carefully choose the type of seed according to the intended use of the lawn: in short, what is its purpose ... ornamental, sporting or recreational? Its positioning, more or less sunny, should also be considered.

  1. Spread the seeds, burying them to a depth of 4-5 mm with a rake or other suitable tool
  2. Lightly irrigate the soil every day, carefully avoiding runoffs that can move the seed and create surface crusts of the soil: irrigation should be done in the evening or early in the morning.

The perfect lawn, the results
After about two weeks, we will begin to see the first blades of grass, while the lawn will be walkable about 20 days after the grass appears

Perfect lawn, useful information

  • Make the first cut about a month after the appearance of the turf, maintaining a height of 30-40 mm. It is good to remember that subsequently the lawn must be cut more frequently, never cutting more than 1/3 of the total length of the leaf in order to avoid the matting effect and the onset of diseases.
  • Immediately after the first cut, apply a slow release fertilizer containing the main nutrients.
